How about giving this ORSOM Black Truffle Macaroni Cheese recipe a try.. brought to a new flavour dimension with our ORSOM Hunter Truffle Cheddar! A sophisticated twist on this classic meal-time favourite..

Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 200g Hunter Truffle & Black Pepper Cheese
  • 400g Macaroni
  • 250g Chestnut Mushrooms
  • 40g Butter
  • 40g Plain Flour
  • 650ml Milk
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 1tsp Dijon Mustard
  • 2-3 Slices Sourdough Bread – Chopped into breadcrumbs


  1. Add the milk to a pan with the bay leaves and simmer
  2. In a separate pan melt the butter and add the flour and continue to stir for a few minutes to cook through.
  3. Then remove the bay leaves from the milk and add to the mixture, stirring to bring it together until smooth
  4. Finish with the mustard, seasoning and half the Hunter cheese and stir through until melted
  5. In a dry frying pan, add the chopped chestnut mushrooms and brown
  6. Cook the macaroni pasta (2-3 mins less than suggested on the packet)
  7. Add the macaroni and mushrooms to the sauce mix and stir well
  8. Add to a baking dish, and then top with the rest of the Hunter cheese and homemade breadcrumbs
  9. Finish with a good drizzle of olive oil and place in the oven at 180oc and cook for 20-30 mins until crisp and golden on top
