Q: Are your cheeses really handmade?

Of course they are ‐ they are exactly what they say on the wax!

All the cheeses are made by real cheesemakers, using open tables and individual cheese moulds.

Q: What makes ORSOM different from the rest?

Blending traditional handmade cheese making skills with an appreciation for exciting new texture and flavours. All individually finished, with a touch of personality.

Q: Woodew ‐ Do you use any artificial flavourings?

You’ve come to the wrong website if you want artificial flavours.

Woodew is naturally smoked over cherry wood. Handmade and individually smoked – that is why each one looks slightly different.

Q: Orsom Blue – I’m allergic to penicillin, can I eat it?

Penicillium mould is a different strain to medication penicillin. However, in very rare cases, some people may react to a penicillium mould – if you have any doubts, please consult your medical specialist who will do an allergy check.

Q: Is ORSOM cheese suitable for vegetarians?

Yes. Not just suitable, but adored.

Q: Is the cheese pasteurised?

Yes. Because past your eyes is best!

Q: How should I store my cheese?

We thought you’d eat it straight away!

Legally we should tell you to store wrapped up in a fridge and eat with 3 days.

However, if you are saving it for a little ‘me time’, you and I know that the sooner you eat it the better it will be.

Q: How should I serve my cheese?

Allow to warm up to room temperature, and then make sure that you get the largest piece.
