Standard Delivery

Standard Delivery
We have one standard delivery charge of £3.99, for all deliveries up to 30kg. This applies for all mainland UK delivery addresses.
This also includes a free gift card and message.

Next Day delivery
Please place your order by 1pm if you require next day delivery; orders received after 1pm can be despatched on the following working day at the earliest.

Because our cheeses are perishable and we don’t want them ‘lost in the network over a weekend’ we make all our deliveries on a Tuesday to Friday
Deliveries cannot be made on public holidays.

Orders placed over the weekend will be dealt with on Monday, therefore the earliest we will be able to deliver your parcel would be Tuesday.

Please note that all our cheese boxes and gifts have to be signed for on delivery

Orsom Handmade Cheese is not liable for any failed deliveries. This does not affect your statutory rights as a customer.

Non Mainland deliveries

Our standard delivery covers UK mainland addresses. However, if you would like to cover our additional on-cost for delivery, we can also offer 48hr deliver to the following regions:

  • Highlands and Islands of Scotland - £16.99
  • Northern Ireland, The Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly - £19.99
  • The Channel Islands - £14.99

Our delivery system relies on accurate postcodes so please can you ensure that correct ones are provided.

European and other overseas deliveries

We do not offer this delivery service on our website but will be happy to quote on this depending on the products, quantities and destinations. Please contact us with your enquiry at .

Telephone numbers

All delivery details must include a telephone contact number. This is invaluable for our delivery partners, as they will use it if they need to make contact on the day of delivery.

Gift Cards

You can add a gift card message free of charge with every order. We will print your message to an A5 (postcard) sized, full coloured card and include within the package. This will be clearly visible to your recipient on delivery.

Order Tracking

You can track all orders online. Once your order is despatched you will receive an email from us giving you the identity code of the consignment together with the URL for the courier taking your order to its destination.

Then, to track your order, simply copy and paste this identity code into the track service provided by our designated courier.

Delivery Terms

Our delivery service requires that the carrier obtains a signature at the address specified. If nobody is in at the delivery address, our courier will try and deliver the parcel to a neighbour or to a local Fed Ex branch where the parcel will be held. Alternatively, it may be returned to the local Fed Ex depot. A card will be left at the delivery address to inform the recipient of the attempted delivery and where the parcel can be collected from.

Please note that no consignments will be left without a signature, so you cannot request that anything be left in 'a safe place'. Our cheeses are perishable, and should be returned to a chilled environment as soon as possible.

If an order is returned to us because of an invalid address or a recipient having moved away we will notify you and can arrange redelivery. The charge for this service is £18.95

Although we make every effort to deliver goods within the estimated time, delays do occur from time to time albeit that this is very seldom. The time of delivery shall not be the essence of the contract and any failure by us to make delivery on any particular date shall not entitle the customer to terminate the agreement or refuse the delivery or to claim for any expenses, loss of profits or consequential loss. Acceptance will be deemed complete once the goods are signed for so any damage or shortage must be noted at this point. Please be assured that damaged or lost goods are replaced free of charge and we will always do our utmost to help resolve any queries.

Redirection of Goods

Please make sure you provide us with the correct address and postcode for the recipient, as well as the phone number.

Should you fail to do this and then require us to redirect a delivery, we can do so but it will be subject to the standard collection and redelivery charge for that area, currently £15.36 for standard UK mainland addressed.

Delivery delays

Orsom Handmade Cheese is not liable for any failed deliveries due to adverse weather conditions, incomplete or incorrect delivery information provided by the customer or any other causes beyond our control.

This does not affect your statutory rights as a customer.

Delivery Complaints

Customer service issues will be acknowledged within one working day of receipt at the very latest and please be assured we will do everything in our power to resolve issues to your satisfaction.
